Well-being Groups

Our well-being groups are open to anyone who has a concern for their Well-being, for example a carer or former carer, someone having a disability or living alone.  The groups vary in their format, but are able to offer friendship and support in a safe environment. These groups are free. If you feel you, or someone you know may benefit from this type of group please get in touch with Karen Frostick or Joanne Clarke.

The Loughborough Well-being Group is held on the 1st Thursday of every month from 1.30pm at John Storer House, with a programme of social activities including small craft projects and occasional guest speakers.

The Shepshed Well-being Group is held on the 2nd Thursday of every month.  The venue for this group is arranged in advance and often held in local garden centres and tea shops.  It’s a real excuse to get out of the house and meet up with friends old and new, to share experiences and get support and advice from trusted, likeminded people.

The Trinity Lunch Club (Trinity Church, Barrow upon Soar) is held on the 3rd Thursday of every month from 12.15pm.  This is a social opportunity for people affected by dementia or memory loss either themselves or as a carer, from the Barrow upon Soar area. Volunteers provide a two-course hot lunch at a cost of £6.50.  The Club helps people to get out of the house and meet people, share experiences and get support and advice in a safe environment.
