Charnwood Borough Council organised and ran a Let’s Talk Money and Wellbeing event at John Storer House on Friday 10th February.
Verity Graham, Neighbourhoods and Partnerships Manager, from Charnwood Borough Council estimated that “over 50 visitors who attended the event got support from varying agencies. Age UK offered information to older residents through their Warm and Wise campaign and Citizens Advice helped provide information about accessing the Household Support Fund. Council officers were also able to give advice on housing issues, council tax as well as several wellbeing activities including local walking groups.”
Citizens Advice, Clockwise Credit Union, Fire Service, Go Learn, Charnwood Borough Council, Tenancy Support, Private Sector Housing, Benefits Support, Communities Team, Active Recreation Team, Trading Standards, Falcon Support Services, The Bridge, Gorse Covert Community Centre, Loughborough Wellbeing Café, DWP – Department of Work & Pensions, Age UK, GamCare and Equality Action attended the event.
