The next meeting is on 7th November at 2.00 pm when Ian Retson will be giving a talk about the Woodland Trust and National Forest. With all the discussions and reports about global warming it is important that trees are planted and looked after as they absorb toxic gases and the Woodland Trust and National Forest are doing just that.
In October John Gibson gave a very informative talk entitled “Chelsea Highlights”. The week of Chelsea as seen on TV is the finished show but the talk gave the background as to how the various gardens and exhibits are grown over many months and years and prepared for the show.
New members and visitors are always welcome. If you have an interest in gardens visit us at the next meeting or phone John Storer Charnwood on 01509 631750 for more information.
