During May and June the Club does not meet at JSH but takes the opportunity to visit other gardens. In May, 30 members visited Norwell Nurseries and Gardens near Newark and were welcomed by the owner, Dr Andrew Ward. As it was raining Andrew invited us into the pavilion and gave a very interesting talk about the unusual plants he grows before we had a tour of the gardens. Then it was tea and cakes and time to buy plants before returning to the coach.
The June visit is to Coton Manor in Northamptonshire on THURSDAY 13th. The coach will leave JSH at 11 am and there are places remaining. The ticket is £18 which includes the coach, tip for the driver and entry to the gardens. There is an excellent café for lunch or places to have a picnic.
