It was another great year for Shepshed Open Gardens. After a soggy start on Saturday, the sun shone beautifully on Sunday with around 90 people walking around looking at the gardens and raising money for Shepshed Volunteer Centre and Shepshed Special Community Bus. There was a good turnout in the volunteer centre garden for the Ukulele Band, with around 30 people watching them play, enjoying a cuppa and a piece of cake. The gardeners worked very hard to make their gardens beautiful and both charities would like to thank everyone involved for their hard work. The final fundraising amount is still to be confirmed.
