The organisers of the Trinity Lunch Club (TLC) (Barrow) invite you to join them at a Soup Lunch to be held on Thursday, 8 February 2018 at 12.30pm in the Trinity Rooms. This is a fundraising event in support of providing an Admiral Nurse for Leicestershire. For those of you who do not know, Admiral Nurses will go into the homes of those suffering from dementia to offer advice and support, in particular to the carer, a similar service to that offered by the Macmillan Nurses to cancer sufferers. At the present time Leicestershire does not have an Admiral Nurse, but those spearheading this fundraising are gathering enormous support and hopefully one will be appointed in the foreseeable future.
This is something that those who attend the TLC lunches are actively supporting and those of us who organise the lunches on a monthly basis felt we should help with this fundraising. Wymeswold has already got two Saturdays booked into their Village diary, the first being on Saturday, 13 January, and will be adding our date into ‘The Link’. Please do come along to support us, there is no set charge for the lunch but, as with the Lent Lunches, there will be a plate for donations.
