Volunteers Week at John Storer House with an Afternoon Tea

This year as in previous years, we celebrated Volunteers Week at John Storer House with an Afternoon Tea and Long Service Award presentations for our volunteers.
Almost 100 volunteers from John Storer House, Shepshed Volunteer Centre and the Near 2 Nature Allotment Projects attended and enjoyed a delicious tea prepared by our catering staff and hosted and served by staff and Trustees.

Presentations for 10 Years’ Service awards were made by Nicky Morgan MP to: Jo Dilley, volunteer on the Help and Information Desk on Thursday mornings, and Sarah Rodgers, volunteer at Wednesday Lunch Club. Awards have also been made to: Chris, volunteer on the Help and Information Desk on Friday mornings, and Adrian Chambers, volunteer in the Café Kitchen on Tuesdays and Thursdays. All four volunteers received certificates and hanging baskets made at the Near 2 Nature Allotment Project. We’d like to say Congratulations to each volunteer with our grateful thanks from Staff, Trustees and we are sure, from members and fellow volunteers as well.
